Rachel Ray, scared of a little harmless bug!

This morning I was watching the animal segment fo the Rachel Ray show. What can I say, I love animals.

Anyhow, a bug (a harmless bug mind you) was brought out and Rachel ran to the other side of the studio.

This is no laughing matter. Fears and phobias can impact our lives in negative ways and while Rachel can probably just keep away from those critters and not feel frighted, other fears are more challenging because we can't just walk away.

aside from bugs, snakes and other creepy crawlies, there are about 530 different kinds of phobias.

If you have a fear which is limiting your life know is the time to take action. Phobias can be completely overcome.

A phobia (phobic response), is an intense irrational fear, a strong emotional reaction or response to something that kicks in the "fight or flight" response. as it is so commonly nicknamed.

These intense emotional feelings of fear associated with what is called a "phobic response", are equated with feelings of terror, freight, and even death. So severe, that those that sufferer would do almost anything to avoid the situation and/or object or place at all costs.

Why some people just don't get well!

First let me just say this whole terminology is just off.  It puts things in the contradiction of well, not well as opposed to where one is in this current moment. 

What makes us "unwell" is often the notion that what we are experiencing is somehow " not right"  This idea then becomes it's own restraining force to discovery and it becomes the focus of our minds.  We spend our time trying to "change" what is instead of discovering what the meaning is of this experience.

In other words the very thing that we are trying to do becomes a restraining force to getting "well" 

This type of resistance is insidious because it seems on the surface, that one is doing ones best to change, however paradoxically it causes us increased emotional suffering and becomes an inhibitor to getting "well"

This often manifests in obsessional "working" on oneself.  The inference to the sub-conscious mind is "there is something wrong with me"  This negative suggestion becomes an ongoing loop and becomes the very thing that one  "works" on!

So let's get one thing straight.  There is nothing wrong with you.  You may have changes in your life that you want to make and hypnosis can help you make them and it can help you heal the most important relationship in your life and that is the relationship with yourself!

Bad breakups can close you down!

Ouch! That is really all that needs to be said. A bad breakup can leave you feeling just awful about yourself and your future prospects.
